The scoop

I realize it's been a very long time without updating my blog. I did try a few weeks ago to do one on Jerry's graduation, but for some reason it wouldn't go through. So in a nut shell, Jerry graduated Medical School on May 15Th. We had a great showing of family to come all the way to Vegas to see him get hooded. Then we moved across the country again, now to Ohio. He's doing an Anesthesia Residency in Dayton. So far we like it here. Maybe home in the future?? I'm finally feeling like settling after all the years of roaming around with Jerry. Bel starts preschool in Sept. Very exciting and a little sad to see her go. We've been home together the whole time except 1 month I went back to work and Jerry watched her. Sophie is doing good. We call her the little pit bull. She's a bit aggressive with Bel. She's strong and likes to push her sister off the couch. Which isn't that funny with hardwood floors. The above pic is of Jerry's lab group the 1St two years of school. The other one is him walking the stage and getting hooded.

Isabel's Birthday

Bel put on this hat my mom crocheted for her when she was a baby. She likes putting it on her dolls usually. After they had cake her and her friends played ball and she wore that funny bonnet. She looked like a gnome.

Match

The big day came for Jerry. The biggest day in medical school next to graduation. The day you find out if you matched to a residency. Jerry matched to his first pick, Anesthesia in Dayton, Ohio. What a crazy day it was. It started with happiness and then ended in sorrow. His grandmother passed that morning as well. We are sad she's gone and will not get to see Jerry accomplish this amazing journey. We will miss her deeply.

Random photos

Bel actually took this photo of Jerry. She likes taking pics and is pretty good for her age. Hence his cheesy smile!
She doesn't like it when I put things on her head, she did let papa put this hat on her for a short while.

Papa and his girls after work.

long time

I realize this might be the longest I went between posting something. It has been crazy. Jerry was gone for 9 weeks traveling to audition rotations. He was home for 3 days and left again for his last set of boards, in Philly. He is on his way back home, but it is short lived. He will leave again on Sunday to go to his last traveling rotation in California. Jerry has 2 interviews coming up. One is in Dayton and the other is Columbus Ohio. These are his top 2 picks. So, we are hoping he matches to one of them. As of right now it looks favorable. We match in 3 months, on Valentine's Day, how sweet!!! It's been a crazy journey. We are excited for the next step. I'll get posting some new stuff of the kids soon too.

Grocery Smarts

Anybody who knows me, knows that I love "Grocery Smarts". I talk about it all the time and how much money I didn't spend. Well, today I had another huge day of savings, so I thought I would compile a list of everything I got. My total out of pocket was $8.47(which should have been $6.47, for coupons I forgot to use. But that's another story). This is what I got for that.
2 tubes of colgate total toothpaste
2 bottles of dial body wash
2 all in one purex laundry soap/softener
1 bottle method laundry soap
3 arrid deodorants
1 bottle dawn dish soap
1 bottle dawn foam dish soap
2 bottles dial foam hand soap
1 container utterbalm lotion
1 lime away toilet bowl cleaner
1 box store brand qt bags
1 bottle act mouth wash

I believe that's it. Pretty good huh!!!

Skinny Minnie

Everybody knows Bel is skinny, but this is funny and sad all in one. She put on Sophie's 3-6 mo pants. They actually fit her well as Capri's. I had to take a pic while she had them on to show off the size.

1st meal

Ohhhh she says that was good. She loved her first bowl of rice cereal. She's growing up so fast!

Jerry passed his step 2 boards! He is so close to being "Dr. Huebsch". I'm very proud of him and excited at the thought of us moving on soon. Now he just has to pass the clinical boards in November. Which should be a lot easier than the written portions.
