It’s that time of year again! The American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes have teamed up for the fourth annual Holiday Mail for Heroes program.
From now until December 10th you are invited to send holiday cards to our American service members, their families, and veterans all over the world. Anyone can send a card and you can send as many as you would like! Please send all cards to
Holiday Mail for Heroes
PO Box 5456

The deadline for this year is December 10th. Unfortunately, if your cards are not postmarked by December 10th they cannot be delivered. Check out how our uniformed men and women and their families expressed their gratitude for the Holiday Mail program when it delivered cards to Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

long time
I realize this might be the longest I went between posting something. It has been crazy. Jerry was gone for 9 weeks traveling to audition rotations. He was home for 3 days and left again for his last set of boards, in Philly. He is on his way back home, but it is short lived. He will leave again on Sunday to go to his last traveling rotation in California. Jerry has 2 interviews coming up. One is in Dayton and the other is Columbus Ohio. These are his top 2 picks. So, we are hoping he matches to one of them. As of right now it looks favorable. We match in 3 months, on Valentine's Day, how sweet!!! It's been a crazy journey. We are excited for the next step. I'll get posting some new stuff of the kids soon too.

Grocery Smarts
Anybody who knows me, knows that I love "Grocery Smarts". I talk about it all the time and how much money I didn't spend. Well, today I had another huge day of savings, so I thought I would compile a list of everything I got. My total out of pocket was $8.47(which should have been $6.47, for coupons I forgot to use. But that's another story). This is what I got for that.
2 tubes of colgate total toothpaste
2 bottles of dial body wash
2 all in one purex laundry soap/softener
1 bottle method laundry soap
3 arrid deodorants
1 bottle dawn dish soap
1 bottle dawn foam dish soap
2 bottles dial foam hand soap
1 container utterbalm lotion
1 lime away toilet bowl cleaner
1 box store brand qt bags
1 bottle act mouth wash
I believe that's it. Pretty good huh!!!

Date night
We had a well deserved night out. We celebrated Jerry's birthday and taking his step 2 boards. Which by the way, he took on his birthday. We went to the strip and had dinner. We had intended to go for a few drinks too, but since we are old and tired, we only made it through dinner. At any rate, we still enjoyed dinner without the kids.

Washing her hands
Yesterday Bel ran into the bathroom and turned on the water. I was very busy in the kitchen, so I yelled for her to shut the water off. A few minutes later with the water still running, I firmly told her to shut the water off and to get out of the bathroom, and that we don't play in the bathroom. She came out of the bathroom and said to me " should wash hands, should wash poop hands". Yes, that's right, she had poop on her hands. She put her hands in her diaper and got a surprise. So, of coarse I couldn't be mad, because she was smart enough to go the the bathroom and try and wash her hands. I think some of my OCD is rubbing off on her.

My trip home
I went home for 5 days. It was a total surprise. Nobody had a clue I was coming except for one sister who helped pull it off. It was the first time in over 2 yrs we were all together. It was nice to see all my family. Isabel enjoyed playing with all her cousins, and Sophie loved all the attention she got.

Isabel and Sophie's room
Melinda and I decorated the girls room tonight with vinyl. It is so cute, I can't stop staring at it. I had to get new sheets for Isabel, so I could use her crib sheets for Sophie. We were inspired by the bedding and it grew from there. We are going to print them again next year when we move, maybe even bigger and better. I'll have to take a picture of the bedding so you can see the inspiration.
